A project owner will be able to add/update sections on this screen. The default sections available for project manager are Project Scope and Project Objectives. Project owner can create new section (section heading & description) as well as update content in the default section as desired.

Import Microsoft Project Plan with Resources (Integration with Microsoft Project)

With project management tool ZilicusPM 11.1, project owners/planners while importing project plan can specify resource mapping. Following two screens show how to import Microsoft Project plan in ZilicusPM and map Resources-in-MS-Project-Plan with Project-Resources-In-ZilicusPM software. If user chooses to map resources, this feature will ensure that all activities assigned to a resource specified in a MS Project plan will have same activities assigned to mapped resources in ZilicusPM.

While importing MS Project plan in ZilicusPM, user will see a confirmation screen whether to append tasks from MS Project to existing project schedule in ZilicusPM or skip import. Also an user will be shown message whether to map resources or continue-to-import resources without mapping.

Faster Project Scheduling: Keyboard Hotkeys for Quick Project Planning

New set of keyboard hotkeys will make project planning even more quick for project planner. Using these keyboard shortcut keys an user can quickly edit/update/delete tasks in project schedule. These keyboard shortcut keys available on Project Schedule screen. Some of the keyboard shortcut introduced are

F2 : Make selected task editable (ready to edit)

Escape : Exit editable mode for a selected task

Control + Insert : Add a new task below

Control + Shift + Insert : Add a new sub-task below

Delete : Delete a selected task

Tab : Once a given task is made editable, project planner can user tab to add/update task name, change start date, change duration, change task priority, update task status, update task % completion, assign resource(s)

Alt + T : To add new task

Alt + R : To add recurring task

Delete : Delete selected task

Control + C : Copy a task or group of tasks (depending on selection)
