While re-using existing project as a template, project manager is prompted with few options. Firstly, s/he select desired project to import. Secondly, project manager can decide whether s/he would like to use just task schedule or task schedule with the team also.
In case of first option, only task schedule is imported from existing project and all tasks from original projects are scheduled with reference to new project timeline, considering new holidays and weekends. Second option allows project manager to invite same project team members and also retain their original task assignments.
Similar to tasks, project administrator when adds custom fields to issues, risks and change requests, these custom fields will be displayed in newer projects as well. This capability, in a way allows you to create templates for issues, risks and change requests.
